  1. Pastor Jacob,I deeply regret that the weather interfered with our worship service today I feel it was a very important message for us all and I dislike missing out on Communion.Communion is for me like a cleansing of my soul. The message you delivered should have been heard by the whole congregation.I wonder if they all know the meaning of the Transfiguration.I didn’t until I read it in Disciplines and then you made it even clearer in your message.I think you know I have a hearing deficit and even with my aids I do not get the whole message on Sundays andI really appreciated reading the message. Blessings to you and your family

    • The decision to cancel this morning’s service was not taken lightly. The Wesleyan Covenant Renewal service is one of my favorite services of the year; and, I agree, not having communion is rough. I’m glad you appreciated and were moved by the sermon I posted from last year. I try to post my sermon manuscripts on my blog weekly (when I’m preaching). Feel free to pass along the link to the sermon and blog and encourage others to join in the conversation. I hope you’re staying warm on this blustery afternoon.
