The ministry of all Christians consists of service for the mission of God in the world.*
On Saturday, October 17 and 24 (2015), Lee Memorial will host The Servant Academy. The Academy has been established to help people learn the simple faith of Jesus and live it out in loving service to God and neighbor.
The Academy supports those seeking recognition through the Lay Servant Ministries program of The United Methodist Church and those who simply want to deepen their faith and learn how to faithfully serve God and neighbor.
The Academy will consist of four classes: The Basic (Lay Servant) Course, Discover Spiritual Gifts, From Your Heart to Theirs, and Welcoming Your Community. Participants are expected to come on both days (October 17 & 24). Classes run from 9am-3pm. There will be a break for lunch. Participants are on their own for lunch (there are several options for takeout near the church).
